Free linked notes - a small personal wiki

Quick personal notes that point at each other. Write one note per thing you want to remember, link it to the notes it relates to, and the collection turns into something you can navigate instead of something you have to search.

Sign in - free Create a free account

A free account keeps your notes private. Signing up also credits 500 SMO, and checking in the next day adds 100 more.

What linking actually buys you

A note called Landlord links to Lease renewal March and Boiler service. Six months later you do not remember the word you would have searched for, but you do remember the landlord - and from that one note both of the others are one click away. That is the whole idea: entry points you are certain to recall, leading to details you are not.

What it does, precisely

There is no sharing and no collaboration. This is a private notebook; if two people need the same page, the forum or the wiki app is the right tool instead.

Where a linked notebook earns its keep

It is at its best for things that keep coming back and are connected to other things: suppliers, recurring admin, a hobby with parts and sources, a project with people attached. It is at its worst as a to-do list - a list wants order and a deadline, and a notebook gives it neither.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a plain notes app?

Notes here link to each other. A note about a supplier can point at the note about the contract and the note about last year's prices, and each of those points back - so you arrive at what you need by following a trail instead of guessing a search term.

How many notes and links do I get?

500 notes per account, up to 20 links out of any one note, and up to 30 related notes shown against it. None of it costs SMO.

Are my notes private?

Yes. Notes are stored against your account and read back only with your own sign-in. There is no public note, no sharing link and no team view.
