Free 1 GB of private online file storage
Somewhere to keep the files you need to be able to find again - a scan of a contract, the photo of a receipt, the zip you will want next month. 1 GB per account, up to 200 MB per file, and nobody but you can see or download any of it.

Private means private, and here is the mechanism
Files are not served from a public address. When you open one, the site asks for a presigned link generated against your signed-in request, and that link expires within the hour. There is no public URL to guess, no sharing toggle to leave on by accident, and a link copied out of the page stops working on its own.
What fits
| Total per account | 1 GB |
|---|---|
| Largest single file | 200 MB |
| Images | JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF |
| Documents | PDF, TXT, CSV, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX |
| Archives | ZIP |
| Audio and video | MP3, WAV, MP4, WebM |
Uploading is a click or a drag: the storage panel takes a file dropped straight onto it, as well as one picked from the file dialog.
1 GB is about 300 phone photos, or a few hundred scanned documents, or one short video and still room to spare. The per-file ceiling is what usually bites first: a long video will not fit, and that is deliberate.
What this is not
- Not a sync client. There is no desktop folder that mirrors itself; you upload and download deliberately.
- Not a sharing service. No links to send, no collaborators, no folders shared with a team.
- Not a backup. It is one copy in one place. Anything you cannot afford to lose wants a second home as well.
Frequently asked questions
Is 1 GB of storage really free?
Yes — 1 GB per account, and uploading or downloading costs no SMO. It needs a free account, because the files are private to you and there has to be a you to be private from everyone else.
Can anyone else see my files?
No. There is no public URL and no sharing link. A download is served through a presigned link that is generated for your signed-in request and expires within the hour, so even a copied link stops working.
What can I upload, and how large?
Up to 200 MB per file, within the 1 GB total: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and AVIF images, PDF, plain text and CSV, Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, zip archives, MP3 and WAV audio, MP4 and WebM video.
The rest of what a free account includes
- Notes — 500 personal notes that link to each other.
- Budget tracker — monthly spend by category.
- 500 SMO on signing up, and a daily check-in that starts at 100 SMO and grows with the streak to 500 on the seventh consecutive day.
