Refund Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This page explains what happens if something goes wrong with SMO credit you have bought. It applies to every purchase made through the SimpleMoney store.
The short version. SMO is credit for use inside SimpleMoney. It is not money, it is not redeemable for cash, and it is not transferable. Where a refund is due, it is given as SMO credit returned to your wallet rather than as money returned to your payment method.
What SMO is
SMO is a prepaid balance that unlocks features on this platform — AI tools, app features, and paid unlocks. Buying SMO is buying the use of those features in advance. It is delivered to your wallet immediately when payment completes, and can be spent from that moment.
SMO has no cash value outside the platform. It cannot be withdrawn, sold, sent to another account, or converted into any other currency.
Refunds are given in credit
When a paid feature fails, the SMO it charged is returned to your wallet automatically. You do not need to ask, and there is nothing to fill in. If an AI generation is charged and then fails to produce a result, the charge comes back on the spot.
The same principle applies to anything else that goes wrong on our side: the fix is to put the credit back, so you can spend it on what you actually wanted.
When money can come back instead
Because SMO is delivered instantly and can be spent immediately, purchases are generally final. Money is returned to your payment method only in these cases:
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| Payment was taken and no SMO arrived | Full refund to your payment method, or the credit issued — your choice. |
| You were charged more than once for the same purchase | The duplicate charges are refunded in full. |
| The purchase was not made by you | Full refund, and the account is secured. |
| You changed your mind and have not spent any of the SMO from that purchase, and it is within 14 days | Full refund to your payment method. The SMO is removed from your wallet. |
Outside those cases — in particular once the SMO from a purchase has been spent — purchases are final.
Your right to cancel
Some countries give consumers a period in which to cancel a purchase of digital content. Because SMO is delivered to your wallet the moment payment completes, you are asked to agree at checkout that delivery begins immediately, which ends that cancellation right once the credit has been used. Until you spend any of it, the 14-day option in the table above applies.
If a payment is reversed
If a payment is refunded or reversed for any reason — including a dispute raised with your payment provider — the corresponding SMO is removed from your wallet. If it has already been spent, the balance will show as negative and further purchases and paid features are unavailable until it is cleared.
This is not a penalty. It simply keeps the two sides in step: credit that was paid for with money that has been returned is not credit you still hold.
Free credit
SMO given away — a welcome grant, a daily top-up, a leaderboard prize — was never purchased and is never refundable in money. FUN, the play-money currency used by the games, is never sold and never converts to SMO, so it is outside this policy entirely.
How to ask
Use the contact or feedback form on the site. Include the date of the purchase and the pack you bought. Requests are answered by one person, so allow a few days.
If you paid through PayPal you can also raise the matter with PayPal directly. We would rather you asked us first — it is faster, and in most cases the credit can be put back the same day.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the platform evolves. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the day the purchase was made.
